Prime Technology (a division of Cox & Company) is a small business specializing in electronic instrumentation and measurement systems. Our legacy brands include: General Resistance (wire wound resistors and decade boxes) International Instruments (industrial and Mil-Spec panel meters) Shurite Meters (economical panel meters) Precision Timer (electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic timers) Our product line originated with wirewound resistors, analog panel meters, and electromechanical timers. As the company has grown, we have expanded our in-house design engineering and manufacturing capabilities. We now are able to offer custom PCB-based displays, controls, and monitoring systems for our commercial, industrial, military, and nuclear customers. Many of our customers have a mechanical product or system, but don’t have an off-the-shelf option for their electronic needs. We partner with these customers to create customized solutions which give their products a unique advantage in their respective marketplaces. Every active ship in the US Navy fleet has some type of Prime Technology equipment on board, many in mission-critical applications. Our experience and success has allowed us to become the “go-to” company for the US Navy for replacing obsolete or problematic systems and components.
