Overview
ReEntry by Design, Inc. is an Arizona 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping men and women successfully reenter society after incarceration. We provide comprehensive reentry support, including release planning, community integration, and access to vital resources. Our goal is to lessen the fear and uncertainty of reentry by building a network of support for individuals, ultimately reducing recidivism rates. We believe in the transformative power of second chances and are committed to empowering those who want to change their lives. With a focus on individual needs and a holistic approach, we help clients find housing, employment, transportation, and more, ensuring a brighter future.
ReEntry by Design addresses the critical issue of recidivism in Arizona, where approximately 39% of released prisoners return to custody within three years. In contrast, our program has demonstrated remarkable success, with only 0.3% of our 325 full program participants returning to custody. This success is rooted in our commitment to providing tailored support and addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals reentering society.
We serve not only our full program participants – 325 individuals – but also an additional 1,785 men and women in 2023, offering targeted assistance with housing, employment, transportation, hygiene, and mentoring. Our founder, Brett W. Matossian, draws upon his own experience with incarceration to guide our mission and ensure that we are truly meeting the needs of those we serve.
