SAIL is a West Yorkshire-based membership organisation dedicated to fostering sustainability within the creative and cultural industries. We empower organisations – from established arts institutions to emerging creative businesses – to reduce their environmental impact through practical, hands-on support. Founded in 2018, SAIL provides tailored consultancy, accredited Carbon Literacy Training, and collaborative resources, connecting hundreds of organisations across Yorkshire and beyond.

We champion a shift towards circular practices, low-carbon technology adoption, and long-term resilience, helping our members navigate the climate emergency and build a more sustainable future for the sector. With over 1000 professionals trained in Carbon Literacy and a proven track record of supporting impactful projects, such as Opera North’s sustainability initiatives and the Bradford Culture Company’s ‘Events Sustainability Toolkit’, SAIL is a trusted partner for organisations seeking genuine, measurable progress.
