Sardinia Healthcare Research and Properties (SHRP) is the reference company for Qatar Foundation Endowment’s investments in Italy. Qatar Foundation Endowment (QFE) is a long-term global investor with the mandate to make direct investments in a wide range of asset classes and industries, and manage them; QFE aims at providing a permanent funding base for the activities of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (Qatar Foundation) - a non-profit organization that is actively driving the transformation of Qatar from an economy based on energy resources to a knowledge-based economy. SHRP was created with the aim of allowing QFE’s mission to result in successful investments in Italy. The Qatar Foundation runs programs in three main areas: education, science & research, community development. Following QFE’s tradition to enhance the characteristics and potential of the reference territory, SHRP will proceed with the implementation of investments related to territorial development, as well as the mega trends of human development. SHRP is a medium/long term investor with a key purpose: adding value by investing in research and innovation. Qatar Foundation Endowment’s first investment project in Italy is the Mater Olbia hospital. SHRP, owner of the land and real estate assets, built Mater Olbia’s infrastructures and plant engineering.
