Scalable Carbon Offset Open Platform (SCOOP)

SCOOP is an ICT framework for implementing and deploying carbon accounting. The framework describes and quantifies CO2 and GHG movement between the earth and the atmosphere, establishing generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), quantifying these movements with high-quality data in real time, along with a historical record, and possibly forecasting models. It seeks to extend the scope of scientific projects to integrate new discoveries and global heating decarbonization processes into the mainstream economy. SCOOP is a scalable carbon accountability framework focused on measurable, infrastructure-level data, starting with power and energy telemetry. Today, most carbon reporting relies on coarse estimates, delayed aggregation, and disconnected tooling. SCOOP takes a different approach: measure first, standardize early, and enable ecosystem adoption.
