The Supplier Compliance Audit Network (SCAN) is an industry trade association that provides a systematic approach whereby mutually acceptable global compliance standards are achieved in reducing audit and operational redundancy for common supply chain stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality. The SCAN Association is a not-for-profit corporation formed by some of the major importers of goods into the United States and Canada. The purpose of this organization is to standardize the format and content of supply chain security audits with the intention of providing a method of sharing results and limiting the number of audits that the vendor and manufacturing communities are required to undergo, thus reducing audit fatigue.
