SEPREM - Sociedad Española de Presas y Embalses

The Spanish Society of Dams and Reservoirs (SEPREM) is a participatory association open to professionals and entities whose activity is related to water, dams and reservoirs. A significant number of professionals dedicated to hydraulic engineering are integrated into SEPREM. SEPREM was born with the objective of helping to create, and we work to achieve this, the appropriate environment to be able to reflect and debate on water as an economic good, on the strategic nature of hydraulic infrastructures, on their design, construction, maintenance and exploitation technologies, on its social and environmental implications, on sustainable development and the satisfaction of future needs. Since its creation, the Spanish Society of Dams and Reservoirs (SEPREM) has contributed to improving the safety of dams, a public service that, given the significance that a failure of the aforementioned infrastructure has on people, property and the environment, It must be provided by the Administration with the highest guarantees. In short, SEPREM is characterized by constituting an open forum for debate, in which, through the exchange of knowledge and experiences, it contributes to the progress of hydraulic engineering.
