At SGS, our vision is to be a premier general contractor and construction manager that provides exceptional returns for our clients and their stakeholders, develops fulfilling careers for our people while earning a fair return on the value we deliver. SGS Contracting was founded in 2014 by native Durham residents and is led by construction visionary Brandt Smith. Our services include preconstruction, general contracting, construction management, and subcontracting. SGS holds numerous memberships and certifications, including North Carolina Historically Underutilized Business Certification and RDU Airport Minority and Woman-Owned Small Business Certification. With over 16 plus years of construction experience in various roles, markets, and projects for several prominent national construction firms, including MGM’s City Center in Las Vegas and One World Trade Center in New York City, it was decided that Durham would be the foundation of SGS Contracting and build an everlasting presence in construction across North Carolina.
