Since 1986, San Diego-based SMR has been providing structural design services to a wide range of clients and projects. From the beginning, the vision of our founders was to provide innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions with excellence in quality of service and client satisfaction. As structural engineers, we collaborate with architects, developers, and builders to achieve innovative structural designs using the latest methods of construction, materials, and technology. The integration of structural engineering design services; access compliance, fire and life safety, and structural safety plan review services as well as forensic engineering services we believe is what makes our team unique giving us a multi-dimensional understanding of projects from the perspective of designers, builders, users, owners, insurers, and litigators. By utilizing the latest building information modeling (BIM) technology, we can achieve the highest degree of efficiency, accuracy and consistency in our drawings from conceptual massing to construction documents. As a result, we have earned a reputation as effective problem solvers for our ability to consistently provide innovative solutions to resolve potential conflicts in the design and/or construction of projects.
