Ca' Donato, an agricultural company with deep roots in the territory of Luino (VA), boasts a history dating back to at least 1722 when it was recorded as "Cascina Donati" in the Teresian Cadastre. In 2019, the company was founded by Andrea Lorenzo and Claudio Alessio Covini, the current owners, with the aim of revitalizing the local agricultural tradition and adapting it to the challenges of the contemporary market and environmental needs. The plantation extends over land that the family has owned since the 1920s and is cultivated in strict compliance with the certification protocols for organic farming. The decision to forgo the use of harmful chemicals was inspired by both the history of the territory and the desire to promote greater respect for the environment. The renewal of the Bioagricert certification until 2026 confirms the meticulousness with which the company adheres to European organic standards and attests to the consistency of an approach aimed at respecting the natural vocation of the land and contributing to the development of sustainable territorial agriculture. Ca' Donato is specialized in the cultivation of various cultivars of giant American blueberry (Vaccinium Corymbosum) and raspberry (Rubus Idaeus). The constant care for quality, the use of updated methods for organic cultivation, and attention to the local economic chain are the fundamental principles guiding the project. Fruit harvesting takes place in summer between June and August, corresponding to the period of availability of fresh products. To allow customers to enjoy them even out of season, since 2021, the company has offered processed products too, such as jam and nectar. Their production also strictly follows EU rules and ensures the maximum fruit content possible, minimizing the addition of natural preservatives.
