The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is the largest individual-member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry. We offer a unique opportunity to contribute to the profession through our programs and activities and many of our accomplishments are driven by our dedicated members. The University of Houston SPE Student Chapter is dedicated to upholding SPE's core values at the university level as well as preparing students for an exciting career in the exploration and production industry. By encouraging students to network with professionals and put their technical skills to practice, we hope to develop engineers that can make an exceptional impact in the E&P industry and the future.
