Our mission is to help established companies bring back the "innovation magic"​. Since the founding of SOMMERRUST in 2014, we help our clients create products and services that people love. For that purpose, we have developed an innovation framework called Business Model Waves. Our framework includes the best methods from e.g. Design Thinking, Strategic Management and from the world of startups. Our research combined with practical experience has paved the way to facilitate a successful co-innovation approach with our clients. Within the Business Model Waves framework, we also have analyzed the various dimensions of innovative capacity of a large number of companies — from startups to large multinationals. From our analyses, we learned that even some of the most respected large companies have lost substantial parts of their innovative capacity over time. Yet even well-established companies operating in highly diverse and complex environments can reinvigorate their innovative capacity. Business Model Waves is designed precisely for this purpose and we strive to make it a bit better every day. Since 2023, we use GenAI to further improve our work on innovation. For some use cases, like Scenario Sprints, the gains in speed and quality are dramatic.
