Stopanska banka AD - Skopje (SB) is a member of the National Bank of Greece - largest SEE banking group. SB is the Bank with the longest tradition on the Macedonian market. Founded as the first bank in Macedonia in 1944 Stopanska banka set the foundations of banking and is still the leader in the development and implementation of the most sophisticated financial products and services for the retail and corporate segment operation in Macedonia. At the beginning of year 2000 SB managing package of shares was purchased by National Bank of Greece Group – the largest SEE banking group. With this significant step, the Bank ensured its continuing growth and development into a successful company according to the world banking standards. After the entrance of NBG, SB strengthened its competitive advantage through intensive restructuring. Today, SB in a Bank with the biggest number of clients in the retail and corporate segment, Bank with the most developed network, largest portfolio of lending and deposit products and a Bank with the biggest assets.
