StudioPOW is an independent Production company founded in 2016. In our short history, we have been involved in the creation of several feature films, television shows, music videos and documentaries. Our films have been featured by the biggest and most widely-read publications in the World such as Rolling Stone Magazine, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Daily Mail, The Times, and the list goes on. We have a reputation for sourcing excellent scripts which attract top talent to our productions. OSCAR & BAFTA nominees and winners Sir Michael Gambon, Emily Watson, Stephen Graham, and Eddie Marsan have all starred in our films. Our first feature, Funny Cow charts the rise to stardom of a female comedienne through the 1970’s and 1980’s. It is set against the backdrop of working men’s clubs and the stand-up comedy circuit of the North of England. From her troubled childhood to her turbulent adult relationships, the Funny Cow uses the raw material of her life experiences to bring her unique style of comedy to the stage. A stand-up comedienne in an all-male world, Funny Cow delivers tragedy and comedy in equal measure. Midas Man will be the definitive telling of an extraordinary life. The first, last and most respectful cinematic portrait ever painted of Brian Epstein. And one which helps him achieve something he dreamed of in life, but never achieved: to become a star of the silver screen. A Brush With Comedy is a SKY ARTS documentary based on the RTS Award Nominated Short of the same name. This feature length documentary is about the connection between comedy and art and the inner conflicts that lie within, featuring Spencer Jones, Simon Munnery, Bec Hill, Miriam Elia and Jim Moir (AKA Vic Reeves).
