TechGarage

TechGarage is a non-profit association aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial talent and innovation by promoting the conversion of ideas and technologies into successful start-ups. The mission of Associazione TechGarage is to animate the High-Tech Entrepreneurship landscape and to contribute to the development, in Italy and in Europe, of an attractive and favorable context for every form of entrepreneurship. To implement it, we promote the implementation of initiatives able to connect the world of grassroot innovation - teachers, researchers, students and innovators in general who move "under-track"​ (grassroot) with the investors in "early stage"​ (seed funds and business angels, independent venture capital, formal or informal corporate venture capital) and that of companies, including medium and small companies. These ones, especially in Italy, are often interested in business development through incubation and / or participation and / or acquisition of hi-tech start-ups and academic and research spin-offs, but not sufficiently structured to manage all phases in complete autonomy which elapse from scouting to early stage funding (start-up or expansion). The mission of the TechGarage Association in Europe, and even more in Italy, is to valorize and, where possible, attract entrepreneurial talents that would otherwise see their initiatives realized not here and now. From 2014 we also spread the business culture among secondary school children aged 15 to 19 through the "Startup School"​ program, a course of interactive classroom lessons aimed at the entrepreneurial training and the creation and development of business projects.
