Established in 1940, we are one of the most storied teams in the Mexican Baseball League, known as the ‘frontera’ team. Our history began in the 1940 summer season as La Junta de Nuevo Laredo, named after the Federal Board of Material Improvements.
As Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos, we became the first team to play in two countries, Mexico and the United States, in 1985. We’ve proudly secured five championships throughout our history, including a remarkable bicampeonato in 1953 and 1954, and a triumphant return in 1977. Most recently, we clinched the championship in 1989, defeating the Yucatan Leones.
