Tended is transforming safety across high-risk industries by combining the latest wearable technology with behavioural science. Our first-of-its-kind geofencing solution has been developed alongside Network Rail’s Safety Task Force to improve worker safety by enhancing situational awareness. Our technology enables planners to geospatially map details on their worksite, including the location of safe work zones and critical protection equipment. A small wearable then alerts workers in real-time if they leave safe working limits, helping them regain situational awareness and move to safety. This acts as a ‘tap on the shoulder’ at times when human factors, such as fatigue or loss of situational awareness, could lead to accidents. With centimetre-level accuracy and no onsite infrasructure required, our solution is helping keep front-line workers out of harm’s way so that projects are delivered safer and more efficiently. Tended’s technology received official product acceptance from Network Rail in September 2022 and is fully compliant with Network Rail’s new geofencing standard NR/L2/OHS/501 Module W4.
