Texas Back Institute Research Foundation is a Plano, Texas-based non-profit organization dedicated to advancing research and education in the field of back pain treatment. Founded in 1985, we’re a collaborative effort involving multiple spine centers globally, focused on improving patient care through diagnostic evaluations and treatment outcomes.

Our research encompasses a wide range of topics, including discography, presurgical psychosocial screening, and the application of innovative technologies like total disc replacements and minimally invasive surgical procedures. We actively share our findings through presentations at national and international spine conferences and publications in leading medical journals such as Spine and The Spine Journal.

The Texas Back Institute Research Foundation plays a vital role in the spine community by offering comprehensive training programs, including a renowned Spine Surgery Fellowship, and publishing influential textbooks like ‘Spinal Arthroplasty: A New Era in Spine Care.’ We continue to improve care for those with back pain through ongoing research, education, and collaboration.
