TexHealth Central Texas is a nonprofit health coverage solution helping small businesses offer affordable, sustainable health insurance through a proven premium assistance model, using non-tax dollars. Since 2010, TexHealth has partnered with employers across Texas to reduce the cost barrier to coverage—supporting working Texans earning under $63,840 annually and helping businesses compete for talent in an increasingly difficult labor market. Our model works by subsidizing employee premiums with non-tax dollars, allowing employers to offer meaningful benefits without the employees having to absorb unsustainable cost increases. Today, TexHealth serves hundreds of businesses and continues to expand statewide following recent legislative progress—positioning premium assistance as a scalable solution to Texas’ uninsured workforce challenge.
