The Assembly Rooms is one of the North East's oldest and grandest Georgian buildings, dating back to 1776. The iconic venue has been privately owned and run by the Michaelides family since 1974. With a renowned reputation as a premier hospitality venue, The Assembly Rooms offer that something extra to make your event successful and more importantly, memorable. The Assembly Rooms offer six luxurious suites, all of which match the grandeur of the building. Our dedicated team take great pride in working with our clients to gain a detailed understanding of their requirements and add our experience to enhance their ideas. From intimate gatherings to the grandest of events, we are able to accommodate from 2 to 600 guests in our elegant surroundings. We plan every detail of delivering our client's vision, including the creation of excellent food. Thanks to the expertise of our talented in-house catering team we are able to satisfy even the most discerning of customer’s requirements. At every function we work to have another delighted customer whose event was everything they could possibly have hoped for. To ensure we faultlessly deliver this, all key staff are there in person and on hand throughout. We are ideally located in the heart of Newcastle city centre, only a 2 minute walk from Central Station and Metro rail links system, easy access from major road links into the city and with Newcastle International Airport only 6 miles away making us the perfect venue for guests travelling from throughout the UK and beyond. Parking is available within the public car park adjacent. Although we are a non-residential venue we can offer special discounted rates with selected city centre hotels.
