The Family Navigator is a Durham, North Carolina-based support service dedicated to guiding families through the complexities of a child’s diagnosis.

We understand the overwhelming challenges families face when a child receives a medical or developmental diagnosis, from navigating initial assessments to accessing vital resources and advocating for their needs.

Our approach centers on providing personalized coaching, tailored support packages, and professional training to empower parents and caregivers. We combine Jessica Summers’ extensive experience in special education, autism research, and personal family experience with a deep understanding of the local community and available services.
