The Gathering for Justice

The Gathering for Justice is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to dismantling systemic racial inequity and transforming the criminal legal system in New York and California. Founded by the late Harry Belafonte in 2005, we empower youth leadership through cultural organizing, direct action, and advocacy, rooted in the principles of Kingian Nonviolence. We address critical issues such as criminal and juvenile justice reform, racial justice, and civil and human rights, fostering a beloved community grounded in justice, equity, and compassion.
