The GravityLight Foundation is a UK-based charity dedicated to alleviating poverty and protecting the environment by providing access to sustainable, off-grid lighting solutions. We design, develop, and distribute the GravityLight – a unique, hand-powered light that offers instant, limitless illumination without relying on electricity or kerosene. Founded in 2014, we operate from Makerversity in London, employing a small team of dedicated individuals.

Our mission is to empower communities with affordable, clean energy, reducing reliance on harmful fuels and fostering a brighter future for all. We’ve successfully reached millions of people in over 70 countries, demonstrating the transformative impact of simple, accessible technology.
