The Medical Innovators Collaborative (MEDIC)

The Medical Innovators Collaborative (MEDIC) is a nonprofit organization based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, dedicated to bridging the gap between medical innovators and student teams. We empower healthcare innovators – including caregivers, academics, and industry members – to transform their groundbreaking ideas into viable products.

MEDIC’s core mission is to accelerate the commercialization of medical innovations by pairing these innovators with talented student teams. We provide the resources and network necessary to navigate the ‘valley of death,’ fostering collaboration and skill development for both innovators and students.

Through strategic partnerships with local large medical product companies, MEDIC also facilitates the advancement of innovative skunkworks projects, offering students invaluable internship opportunities and contributing to a pipeline of future talent for these organizations. We are committed to driving innovation within the medical industry and supporting the next generation of healthcare leaders.
