The Movie Institute is a Plano, Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people and adults with life and leadership skills through the creative and disciplined world of motion media arts.

For 25 years, we’ve been fostering a passion for filmmaking and storytelling, providing hands-on programs like camps, workshops, and classes that cultivate collaboration, problem-solving, and essential career skills.

Through our unique approach, we equip youth with the confidence and tools to build fulfilling futures, while also offering professional video production services to businesses and organizations. We believe in giving everyone a voice and creating opportunities for positive character growth and successful career development.

Our Kamp Hollywood program and studio rentals provide immersive experiences, fostering creativity and providing valuable industry exposure. We are committed to making kids ‘future ready’ and building a community of purpose-driven individuals.
