The Renewal Project (TRP) is a new non-profit organization, pending 501(c)3 approval, dedicated to increasing access to quality mental and behavioral healthcare in Alabama by providing financial assistance to individuals seeking treatment. Operating in Birmingham, Alabama, we address the critical barrier of cost that prevents many Alabamians from receiving the care they need. TRP supports a continuum of care, including residential/inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and intensive outpatient programs (IOP), ensuring individuals receive comprehensive support for conditions such as Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Trauma, Psychiatric Disorders, Mood Disorders, Eating Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders.

Guided by an Advisory Council of subject matter experts and overseen by a dedicated Executive Director, Liz Read, TRP is committed to transparency and accountability, working with state-approved providers to deliver evidence-based treatment and improve the lives of Alabama residents. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and productive life, and we are working to remove the financial obstacles that stand in the way.
