The Rockaway Hotel

The 84,000 square-foot hotel features design inspiration from the property’s iconic and historic setting. Morris Adjmi took inspiration from the surrounding bungalow community. Incorporating aspects of the porches, clapboard and cedar exteriors, the hotel’s exterior features represented in the design asthetic throughout the building. On the interior, materials such as teak, linen, wool, leather and rattan create an eclectic, retro, and calming atmosphere throughout the hotel, complemented by a soothing color palette with rose pink and dusty blue. The hotel’s design creates a relaxing environment without losing the liveliness of nearby New York City. The lobby features textural details, curvy accessories and bold shapes with a touch of Scandinavian design.The hotel features 53 guest rooms and 8 long stay residences, with all rooms boasting either an Atlantic Ocean or Jamaica Bay with the Manhattan skyline. All ocean facing rooms offer outdoor terraces to further soak up the scenery and salt air. All accommodations offer a taste of coastal living and are beautifully appointed with a soothing cool décor influenced by the pastel colors of the ocean, sand, and sky with custom wooden furnishings and distinctive local artwork. The hotel boasts four F&B concepts operated by IGC Hospitality. MARGIE’S Helmed by IGC Hospitality, Margie’s anchors The Rockaway Hotel’s food and beverage program. Located on the ground floor, Margie’s serves American classics with reinvented twists on favorite seaside favorites. THE POOL With a light menu consisting of health-conscious seafood dishes, salads, and a full bar, The Pool provides the perfect place for guests to take in some sunshine while enjoying the 45’x20’ heated pool set on 6,000 sq.ft. covered and uncovered landscaped patio. THE ROOFTOP Located on the sixth floor and spanning 6,000 sq.ft. of indoor and outdoor space, the rooftop boasts panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, Jamaica Bay and The Atlantic
