The Sankofa House is a Ghana-focused cultural immersion and retreat brand creating transformative experiences for women of the African diaspora who are ready to return to themselves through travel, wellness, and ancestral reconnection. Rooted in the Akan principle of Sankofa – to go back and fetch what was left behind – we design immersive programming that bridges diaspora identity with intentional rest, cultural exploration, and community. Our retreats are not vacations. They are homecomings.

Our flagship offering, Detty & Deep, is a women’s immersion retreat launching in Accra, Ghana, in December 2026. Designed for African American women and women of the diaspora who are ready to rest deeply, connect culturally, and return home to themselves, Detty & Deep combines luxury accommodations, curated cultural experiences, wellness programming, and intentional community in one of the most vibrant cities on the African continent.
