The Secret HR Society

Founded in October 2015 by Anna Ott and Hilary Klassen, The Secret HR Society is an exclusive, invitation-only community dedicated to advancing strategic HR practices and fostering a global network of thought leaders. Managed by a steering committee that includes Anna Ott, Hilary Klassen, Sebastian Dietrich, and Sonita Uijt de Haag, the society now connects over 1,700 HR professionals from tech startups to established corporations across the world. Members engage through Slack, virtual events, and in-person gatherings—with Berlin serving as a key hub—to exchange insights, challenge conventional thinking, and test innovative ideas. The Secret HR Society is committed to elevating the HR function by encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth within a tight-knit, supportive network. Membership is available through direct application or by referral from an existing member, and the community welcomes sponsorship opportunities to further its mission.
