The Servant Center

The Servant Center is a Greensboro, North Carolina-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering the homeless and disabled, particularly veterans, to achieve independence and contribute to their community.

For over 20 years, we’ve provided a comprehensive range of services, including transitional housing through our flagship Servant House program, permanent supportive housing at Glenwood and Haworth House, and assistance with Social Security disability benefits via our Disability Assistance Program.

What distinguishes The Servant Center is our holistic approach, combining housing stability with case management, medical care, and life skills training, all while fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes the unique needs of our clients – especially veterans seeking a fresh start.

We also operate a pantry program serving over 500 individuals and families facing food insecurity each month, and lead the Americorps Partnership to End Homelessness, coordinating volunteers to provide vital services across multiple organizations. We are committed to transforming lives and building a stronger community, one individual at a time.
