The Urban Food Loop Project

The Mission of The Urban Food Loop Project is to reverse the effects of climate change by reducing methane emissions and enhancing carbon sequestration by converting food scraps from homes and businesses into compost and compost tea. We teach farmers to use compost tea to increase yields and profits while decreasing the need for synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Compost and compost tea are powerful resources that help farmers sequester carbon, restore degraded farmland soils, and decrease greenhouse gas emissions.
