Tonalli Counseling Services

Tonalli Counseling Services is a Plano, Texas-based trauma-informed psychotherapy practice specializing in healing complex trauma, betrayal trauma, and sex addiction. We provide individual, couples, and family therapy, integrating modalities like Brainspotting and somatic therapy to support clients in breaking generational cycles and reconnecting with their inner strength. Tonalli (toh-NAH-lee), meaning ‘the part of a person’s energy or vital force that connects us with something greater than ourselves,’ guides our approach.

We serve adult survivors of sexual trauma, including incest and covert abuse, as well as individuals navigating recovery from sex addiction and codependent relationship patterns. Our team, led by Sara Vandenburg LCSW-S, CSAT, LCDC, a certified Brainspotting practitioner, offers a compassionate and evidence-based approach to healing.
