Transform Trade

Transform Trade is a global community of farmers, artisans, collectives, campaigners, donors and supporters – all working together to transform trade so that everyone benefits. This UK-based nonprofit, established in 1986, champions a fairer trade system, focusing on supporting producer businesses and collectives around the world. We work to ensure that trade values people over profit, tackling exploitation and environmental damage. Transform Trade is committed to investing in at least 1000 producer businesses by 2030, empowering communities and driving lasting positive change.

We stand together with communities experiencing injustice, fighting for trade that values people over profit. Our approach centers on supporting producer-led businesses, helping them adapt to climate change and protect local ecosystems. We believe in the power of collective action and community-led solutions.

Formerly Traidcraft Exchange (Charity No. 1048752), we operate from offices in Newcastle upon Tyne, London, Hyderabad, Dhaka, and Nairobi, working across Africa and Asia.
