TrashCoin

𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗖𝗢𝗜𝗡 is a 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 revolutionizing 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 by turning recyclable waste into digital, traceable, and tradeable value. We leverage 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 to digitize waste collection, incentivize recycling at the grassroots, and connect informal waste systems to global circular economy and ESG markets. Africa produces over 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆, yet recycles less than 𝟭𝟬%. This gap is driven by 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀, lack of 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, and 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. Meanwhile, millions, especially 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻, work informally in the waste sector, often without fair pay, recognition, or the tools to scale their impact. At Trashcoin, we are helping communities understand the value of segregating waste at the source, especially recyclable materials like plastics, by turning that waste into economic value.
