Travelling Gallery is a unique contemporary art gallery operating in a bus, bringing exceptional artistic experiences to communities across Scotland since 1978. We deliver a diverse and inclusive programme, fostering engagement and conversation through innovative exhibitions. As a ‘not for profit’ organisation, we are dedicated to removing barriers and creating welcoming spaces for all, particularly schools and communities. Travelling Gallery’s mission is to make contemporary art accessible to everyone, regardless of location or background. We operate from a specially converted bus, travelling to venues and communities throughout Scotland, ensuring that art is brought directly to the people. We are proud to nurture young talent and provide opportunities for artists to exhibit alongside established names.

Funding & Accessibility Travelling Gallery is funded by Creative Scotland’s Multi-Year Fund 2025-2028 and part of Culture Edinburgh. We are committed to accessibility, offering pavement access for wheelchairs and ensuring our gallery space meets the social model of disability.
