Two Raccoons

Two Raccoons is a Scottish fruit wine producer and food waste solutions company based in Aberdeen that transforms surplus fruits into handcrafted, limited-edition wines. Founded in 2021 by Elliott Martens and Lasse Rasmussen, the company partners with food businesses, farmers, and food banks to rescue fruits destined for waste and convert them into delicious, sustainable beverages. Two Raccoons produces fruit wines with approximately one-third the carbon emissions of conventional imported wines, using a fermentation-based preservation method that extends the shelf-life of perishable fruit.

Since inception, the company has rescued over 6 tonnes of surplus fruit and produced more than 10,000 litres of wine from diverse fruits including blackcurrants, bananas, mangoes, and raspberries. Each wine is entirely plastic-free, entirely handcrafted, and limited edition—with no two batches identical. The company addresses Scotland's food waste challenge, directly supporting the Scottish Government's target to reduce overall food waste by 33% by 2025.

Two Raccoons combines circular economy principles with artisanal winemaking, offering consumers an environmentally responsible alternative to mass-produced, imported wines while making a measurable impact on supply chain sustainability.
