UCI Rocket Project (Liquids)

UCI Rocket Project (Liquids) is a leading research project at the University of California, Irvine, dedicated to the development of advanced liquid propellant rockets.

We provide a unique hands-on experience for undergraduate engineering students, allowing them to design, develop, and test complex propulsion, aerodynamic, and ejection systems. Our team utilizes professional modeling and simulation software, innovative manufacturing techniques, and rigorous validation procedures to push the boundaries of rocketry.

Currently, we are focused on competing in the Base 11 Space Challenge, aiming to be the first university to launch a liquid propellant rocket to 100 km altitude. We operate as two distinct teams – Liquids and Solids – fostering a collaborative environment and providing specialized opportunities for student expertise.

Our project, established in 2005, has evolved from a solid propulsion team to encompass both liquid and solid rocket technologies, consistently engaging in national-level competitions and contributing to the advancement of aerospace engineering.
