Ultimate Cell

Ultimate Cell is a brand of UTIS—Ultimate Technology to Industrial Savings, S.A., which is strategically focused on the development of sustainable technological solutions. Since its inception, the company has invested heavily in Research and Development (R&D), strongly emphasising technologies based on Hydrogen (H₂). Founded in October 2012, Ultimate Power created the Ultimate Cell devices for internal combustion applications suitable for cars, boats, trucks, generators, industrial machines, and transport systems. These devices aim to reduce fuel consumption and harmful gas emissions. Ultimate Cell's activity began with an innovative approach: using small amounts of hydrogen to optimize internal combustion engine processes, to lower fuel consumption and minimise pollutant emissions. This pioneering vision quickly expanded into the industrial sector. In 2015, building on this same technological foundation, a solution was developed for continuous combustion processes in industrial settings, leading to the creation of UTIS, a joint venture in partnership with the Portuguese cement company SECIL. By 2020, leveraging its accumulated experience in internal and continuous combustion, Ultimate Cell expanded its portfolio to include hydrogen production units. Since 2022, following the acquisition of Ultimate Power’s assets by UTIS, Ultimate Cell has taken on the role of a holding company, supporting the development and integration of advanced technological solutions in the energy sector. With a clear vision for the future, UTIS reaffirms its commitment to the energy transition, promoting efficiency, innovation, and sustainability in Portugal and worldwide.
