In 2018, Unety was founded to support mom-and-pop businesses in under-represented communities by leveling the playing field of an otherwise biased system that favored big corporations with special access to financial tools that uniquely made green building projects accretive. In 2023, precipitated by the reorganization and ultimate closure of Tenney 110, Unety was shutdown. Before its closure, Unety supported the deployment of over US$176 million across the country, enabling 331 green buildings projects, ranging from renewable energy for affordable housing to energy efficiency for houses of worship.
