Unidos Contra la Diabetes RGV (UCD)

Unidos Contra la Diabetes RGV (UCD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to combating diabetes within the Rio Grande Valley region of Texas. We work collaboratively with community partners – including healthcare providers, educators, and wellness advocates – to reduce new diabetes diagnoses by 10% by 2030. Our approach focuses on comprehensive diabetes prevention and management programs, encompassing health education, lifestyle modification, awareness campaigns, and policy advocacy. We serve the diverse populations of the RGV, addressing the unique challenges and needs of this region. UCD’s impact extends across multiple locations including Weslaco, Rio Grande City, McAllen, Raymondville, and Brownsville, providing vital resources and support to individuals and families affected by diabetes. We are committed to building a healthier future for the entire Rio Grande Valley community through data-driven strategies and community engagement.
