Universal Subsea Inc. (USI) is a Houston TX based company with innovative products and technologies for the offshore oil and gas industry to reduce intervention costs and improve reliability with particular expertise in subsea wellhead systems, subsea production trees, and BOP/tree/wellhead connectors. Corrosion and related degradation of subsea wellhead and subsea tree interfaces are a major problem for offshore oil and gas companies in the corrosive, highly saline conditions of the open ocean environment. This has a substantial direct cost impact for offshore operators that often exceeds $100K for wellhead remediation and may easily exceed $1 MM for subsea tree interventions.
