USA Water Polo

USA Water Polo is the national governing body for water polo in America, overseeing our United States Olympic program as well as 20 different championship events annually, such as Junior Olympics and Masters Championships. With more than 50,000 members, USAWP is also the sanctioning authority for more than 400 tournaments nationwide.

USAWP is committed to the development of the sport nationwide, fostering grass-roots expansion of the sport, providing a national system of affiliated clubs, certified coaches and officials.

Founded in 1978, USA Water Polo has grown to encompass nearly 500 high performance club programs across America and hosts a variety of national championships, including Junior Olympics, Masters Nationals, and the US Open of Water Polo. We strive to win gold medals in the sport of water polo at the Summer Olympic Games, Pan American Games, and FINA World Championships.

Our mission is to grow the sport of water polo throughout the United States.
