Utah Population & Environment Council is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a sustainable future for Utah and the planet. Based in Salt Lake City, we champion a balanced approach to population growth and environmental stewardship, recognizing the interconnectedness of human well-being and ecological health. Our work centers on raising awareness, promoting family planning through the ‘Small Families’ campaign, and conducting vital research like the Genuine Progress Indicator and Utah Ecological Footprint Study. We advocate for innovative measures of societal progress beyond traditional economic indicators, and actively collaborate with organizations to build a resilient and thriving Utah for generations to come.
