WISE is an innovative medical device company developing the new generation of implantable leads for neuromonitoring and neuromodulation using its proprietary Supersonic Technology. The electrodes of WISE are highly ergonomic, conformable, soft and thin, thus allowing a great adhesion, a minimal invasiveness and an excellent adaptability to the nervous tissue. This is possible thanks to the innovative Supersonic Technology, which allows to produce stretchable, flexible and biocompatible (medical grade) electrodes integrated in extremely thin elastomeric substrates. The first commercial product of WISE is the CE-marked WISE Cortical Strip (WCS®), a single-use medical device for IntraOperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM) during brain tumor and epilepsy surgeries. The WISE Cortical Strip is used for continuous recording of the brain’s spontaneous electrical activity (ECoG) and somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs). It is also used for brain stimulation, aimed to elicit motor evoked potentials (MEPs).
