Women's Economic Development Council

The Women’s Economic Development Council is a non-profit association based in Huntsville, Alabama, dedicated to fostering leadership and economic growth for women in the Huntsville/Madison County community. Established in 1992, WEDC provides opportunities for women to excel through education, mentorship, and strategic connections. As a vital resource, WEDC supports a diverse group of mid-to-senior level executives and business professionals, empowering them to contribute significantly to the region's economic landscape.

With a rich history rooted in the WNET program and a commitment to fostering a supportive community, WEDC continues to champion women’s success and influence, driving positive change and economic prosperity. Our foundation supports women’s economic self-sufficiency through the WEDC Foundation, and we provide resources for aspiring entrepreneurs through the Women’s Business Center of North Alabama (Catalyst).
