Young Queens in Politics

Young Queens in Politics is a vital educational enrichment program dedicated to empowering femme-identifying high school students in San Bernardino, California, and beyond. Through engaging seminars, interactive art projects, and inspiring keynote speakers, we foster civic engagement and political awareness, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to advocate for change. Our program focuses on key issues such as reproductive justice, education reform, immigration policy, and criminal justice reform, directly impacting the lives of young women in their communities. We provide customized one-on-one college counseling, connect students with local leaders and artists, and cultivate a supportive network of mentors. Founded in 2019 by Alejandra Davila, a San Bernardino native and Pomona College graduate, Young Queens in Politics addresses the critical need for increased female representation in politics, particularly at the local level. By nurturing the next generation of female leaders, we strive to ensure that women’s voices are heard and their needs are met, ultimately contributing to a more equitable and just society. We are committed to fostering a space where young women can explore their passions, develop their leadership skills, and become active participants in shaping their communities and the future of our nation.
