YWCA West Central Michigan is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and girls, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all in West Michigan. For over a century, we’ve provided vital services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, offering a safe haven through our short-term emergency shelter, and supporting long-term independence through Project HEAL. We also champion systemic change through advocacy and resource services, addressing the root causes of abuse. As we prepare for the next 125 years, the YWCA remains committed to transforming lives and building a more equitable community. Our mission is realized through expert services for victims, education to end the factors that fuel abuse, and public policy that translates our values into action.
