The Chefs Association of Northern Greece is a professional, non-profit organization, established in 1994 in Thessaloniki, aiming to unite chefs from all over Greece in a shared dedication to professional excellence, promote the gastronomy tradition and provide educational support and humanitarian aid to those in need.
The Association consist of 350 members, professional chefs and pastry chefs that fulfill the required standards, as declared in the statute, and participate in all the activities when invited by the elected Administrative Board.
Τhe Chefs Association of Northern Greece has represented Greece in many International Gastronomic Festivals, Congresses and Exhibitions, while it has organized important culinary events and world gastronomic competitions.
The International Culinary Competition of Southern Europe, organized every two years, from 1997 until present, and supported by the World Association of Chefs Society (WACS), constitutes a hallmark tradition of Chefs Association of Northern Greece. The competition is established as a meeting point for the culinary professionals, attracting more than 500 delegates from all over the world.
The Association, in cooperation with WACS, was the co-organizer of the World Chefs Congress & Expo 2016, which was held in Thessaloniki from 24th to 27th of September 2016.

Όλη η γνωστή ιστορία της οικογένειάς μας ταυτίζεται με την ιστορία των ελαιώνων μας. Κανείς από τα τωρινά μέλη της οικογένειας δεν γνωρίζει την ιστορία της οικογένειας πριν από τη συμβίωσή μας με αυτά τα ελαιόδεντρα. Είναι σαν οι ρίζες του γενεαλογικού μας δέντρου να είναι οι ίδιες οι ρίζες αυτών των ελαιόδεντρων.
Η παράδοση λέει ότι ο πρώτος από τους προγόνους μας που ήρθε και εγκαταστάθηκε εκεί που βρίσκεται σήμερα ένας από τους ελαιώνες, ήρθε από άλλο μακρινό μέρος της Πελοποννήσου γύρω στα χρόνια της Ελληνικής επανάστασης και της ίδρυσης του σύγχρονου Ελληνικού κράτους. Ήταν δύσκολα χρόνια. Ο κλήρος ανήκε σε λίγους και το ιδιοκτησιακό καθεστώς σε πολλές περιπτώσεις ήταν ασαφές. Οι φτωχοί αγρότες προκειμένου να αποκτήσουν τον δικό τους κλήρο ήταν υποχρεωμένοι να ξεχερσώνουν δύσκολα κομμάτια γης για να τα μετατρέψουν σε καλλιεργήσιμα. Σε άλλες περιπτώσεις εξαγόραζαν δασική γη από το κράτος.
Πολλά κομμάτια των ελαιώνων μας δημιουργήθηκαν με αυτόν τον τρόπο. Τα μικρά λιόδεντρα ποτίστηκαν με τον ιδρώτα των προγόνων μας. Άνθισαν και μεγάλωσαν σε χώματα ξερικά, δίπλα και πάνω στην πέτρα, σαν από θαύμα, και συγκράτησαν μέσα στους καρπούς τους την σπάνια δική τους ιστορία.
Ο πατέρας μου γνώριζε την ιστορία κάθε ελαιόδεντρου ξεχωριστά, την είχε μάθει από τον δικό του πατέρα ή την είχε ζήσει ο ίδιος και ήθελε να την μεταφέρει σε εμάς, τα δικά του παιδιά. «Κοίταξε, αυτό το δέντρο ήταν άγριο, το μπόλιασε σε αυτό το σημείο του κορμού ο δικός μου ο πατέρας όταν ήμουν παιδί. Δες πόσο διαφορετικός είναι ο κορμός από εδώ και πάνω.» Ήταν αυτές οι ιστορίες τόσο πολύτιμες για εκείνον, που αγωνιούσε μήπως και δεν περάσουν στην επόμενη γενιά, μήπως και ξεχαστούν. Με τα χρόνια, κι αφού πλέον έχω χάσει τον πατέρα μου, ανέπτυξα κι εγώ την ίδια αγωνία. Κατάλαβα πως αυτές οι ιστορίες είναι που κάνουν τον χυμό των ελιών μας τόσο μοναδικό.

In 1901, at Silikia area, close to Pyrgos city in western Peloponnese, Stavropoulos family created one of the few olive mills of the area. Knowledge is transferred through generations as the methods of extraction and the equipment are constantly updated. Silikia Chairimonis lived in Magnesia of Meandrous, an ancient city of Asia Minor, when Lucius Septimus Bassianus -known as Caracalla- was on the throne of the Roman Empire.
She was the only high priestess and stephanephorus known in Magnesia of Meandrous.
This unique olive oil took its name both by the location of the olive mill and the name of the high priestess. It is a fruity and spicy extra virgin olive oil, ideal for both salad and cooking.

Our premium olive oil was made fully from our own estate,in Corinth of Greece, under the strictest quality control during cultivation, harvesting, and oil making.
Members of our team have been systematically studying olive growing and oil-making with agronomists and oil experts from around the world for years.
The healthy green olives were hand-picked and treated with great care and respect. The pressing of the olives is completed within 24 hours from harvesting, without ever exceeding 27°C. The entire production process was carefully overseen by us, resulting to a fresh and fruity olive oil with extra low acidity (<0.3%) & a high number of polyphenols.
An intense limpid golden yellow colour with light green hues is the most recognisable visual characteristic of our oil. Its aroma is ample and rotund, rich in notes of fruity hints. Its taste is elegant and strong with notes of medicinal herbs, especially thyme and freshly cut grass.

Mitravelas Estate is the oldest winery at Nemea since it dates back more than a century. Family owned vineyards at Aghios Georgios village (nowdays Nemea), were found to be of Mitravelas' ownership since the 10th of October 1828, when Kapodistrias’ government recorded the National Land. Later on the winery was established by Mitravelas brothers in 1913, while in 2003 the younger Konstantinos Mitravelas takes over. He continuous his family’s tradition, adding his own experience in viticulture and investing in state of the art equipment in addition to modern techniques. At the same period he introduces in the market the innovative back then “Red on Black”, which was the 1st unoaked Nemea that was ever produced. In the meantime “Mitravelas Estate” red was also launched after oak maturing over 8 months, and also the white “Lefkes” vinificated from Moschofilero grapes grown in the PDO Mantinia region. “Mitravelas Rose” is also from 100% Aghiorghitiko and ferments for almost 27 days. An ultra premium wine called “Old Vines” was produced from 2 old vineyards (vines over 55 yo) and became the milestone of the winery fulfilling the entire collection. Mitravelas Estate specializes in Nemea (#PureNemea), therefore focuses on cultivating and vinifying the variety of Aghiorghitiko, aiming to show all its possible expressions. The entire vineyards are located around the Nemea area, mainly on the slopes of hills from a privately owned area of 80 hectares. but also from long-term contracts to co-operating winegrowers in which area yields are minimized in order to maximize quality. Wines have been distinguished in recognized tastings and international competitions, while the winery also has export activity in the United States, Australia, Holland, Belgium, Cyprus, Germany and more whilst is constantly expanding
The facilities of the winery are not officially open to public, yet an investment project for the redevelopment and construction of a state-of-the-art winery is in the immediate agenda of the estate with a forthcoming state financing programme. The brand new family owned winery will probably be the only visiting winery within the city of Nemea.

Olive oil production has been our family business for almost 100 years. From my great-grandfather to my father and now me, the tradition still holds with the same love and dedication.
The Batarlis’ Family Olive Groves are located in Ormylia, the oldest settlement in Chalkidiki in Greece. This is where my desire to combine my love for this land and tradition with modern cultivation techniques and know-how, has grown.
For a whole century the Batarlis’ Family groves have been producing olive oil of incomparable quality and excellent taste.
The crop is harvested with great care and our efforts are dedicated to collecting the fruit and selecting those olives that are appropriate for creating an exceptional virgin olive oil.
The olives are transferred to the olive press daily and the oil is extracted through old crushing/pressing.
Every new batch is measured to determine the acidity of the oil produced. The olive oil is stored in special tanks under nitrogen controlled conditions at a controlled temperature
The process combines know-how and an expert scientific approach with the unaffected manner olive oil has always been produced by our family.
Athena's Rose's was certified by the World Olive Center and National & Kapodistrian University of Athens for High Phenolic Extra Virgin Olive Oil in compliance with European Union Regulation 432/2012.

Terra di Sitia was founded in 2016 and its purpose is to offer its consumers fine, traditional products from the Land of Sitia (Terra di Sitia). Our ambition is for a future expansion of Terra di Sitia beyond the narrow geographical borders of Crete or even Greece. After many years of being involved with the cultivation of olive trees as well as with collecting olives and producing olive oil in Sitia, we have also decided to create Terra di Sitia and to offer the world, for starters, an extra virgin olive oil of low acidity with all those characteristics that the olive oil of Sitia with a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) possesses. In the future, more traditional products will become available. We created Thema & Thema 02 virgin olive oil of Sitia with a PDO and it is available for sale in selected stores with traditional Cretan products in the wider area of Crete.

We are two brothers, willing to invest in our land and the food we learnt to eat and love as kids, thus guaranteeing the quality of our products.
Agrelea takes its roots in our father's native region: Etolia-Akarnania, where we own state of the art production plant and equipment, which comply with the strictest quality standards.
We source premium quality raw Kalamon olives, including organically grown ones, and prepare them using natural and slow processing. We also offer olive paste created from both types of olives.

The story commences in the late 1990s, when brothers Alekos -teacher of Physics- and Sakis -Civil engineer- planted the first vines. Their sharing passion for Wine should not be a surprise’ Alekos’s pure love for the Land and its fruits and Sakis’s innovative ideas were successfully married and the first organic grapes of the patrogonic land were soon harvested. The love for Supreme Winemaking passed to the new generation and year 2021 finds Sakis’ son, Menelaos, holding a BS in Electrical Engineering and MSc in Engineering Management (Columbia University’07) & daughter Eleni, holding a BS in Civil Engineering & MSc in Structural Eng (UC Berkeley’10), both active in the Winery. From 1997 when the first vintage took place till today, nothing spoiled the magical atmosphere of our work, making this family business strong.

Viro Olive Oil has been recognized as a product of health in accordance with the UC Davis health study and EK432/2012 test for its very low acidity and extremely high polyphenol count. Please visit our website for the study and further certificates. Results have shown that Kalamata EVOO is rich in Vitamin E, carotenoids, and polyphenols. In addition, the monounsaturated fatty acids reduce unhealthy LDL cholesterol while increasing HDL. Viro olive oil protects consumers from heart disease, hypertension, cancer, arthritis, asthma, and diabetes. The winery dominates in the upper neighbourhood of the beautiful
