GEO-SPIRULINA NIGRTITAS Ltd has invested significant money and know-how in production facility until now, aiming to the significant increase in production volumes, by prolonging the productive period (from 5 to 12 months), by making better use of natural geothermal energy in the location and also by creating new growth pools for spirulina. Protofanousi Fruits SA has been specializing in the sale of fruit since 1928. Today, the company is one of the largest exporters in Northern Greece, with an annual turnover of 23 million euros handling about 30 million kilos of fruit per year, mostly of Greek origin, but with some kinds of fruit imported from Argentina, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Africa, Turkey and Chile. Το 1948 ιδρύθηκε στον Πλάτανο ένας μικρός φούρνος από τον Χαρίτο Τσατσαρωνάκη, ο οποίος έδωσε την εμπορική ονομασία «το Μάννα» στην επιχείρηση. Τα πρώτα χρόνια η επιχείρηση αυτή κάλυπτε τις ανάγκες του Πλατάνου και των γύρω χωριών σε ψωμί, μέχρι που μπήκαν στην επιχείρηση ο γιος του Νίκος, με την γυναίκα του Μαρία οι οποίοι είχαν και την ιδέα της παραγωγής του κριθαρένιου παξιμαδιού. Ξεκίνησαν το 1963 την πώληση παξιμαδιών στα Χανιά και μετά ακολούθησε και η Αθήνα. Το στοίχημα αυτής της μεγάλης προσπάθειας της δεκαετίας του '60, ήταν να γνωρίσει ο κόσμος τη διατροφική αξία του κρητικού παξιμαδιού. Η επίτευξη αυτού του στόχου έφερε αύξηση πωλήσεων και κατά συνέπεια της επιχείρησης, η οποία μετά από τέσσερις διαδοχικές επεκτάσεις μετέτρεψε τις παραγωγικές εγκαταστάσεις σε μία μεγάλη μονάδα παραγωγής αρτοσκευασμάτων όπου παράγονται 53 διαφορετικά προϊόντα. Tselepos Wines is a 30 year old Greek family winery producing high quality wines in Peloponnese and Santorini. We focus on the indigenous varieties: moschofilero, assyrtiko and agiorgitiko, to discover their potential in each microclimate (terroir). «Good wines are produced in the winery but fine wines are made in the vineyard”, this is the moto of the owner and winemaker Yiannis Tselepos. Neos Aliakmon is one of the largest cooperatives in Central Macedonia, Greece. Since 1968, year of establishment by a group of producers, it has demonstrated a remarkable development in the fields of production, distribution and marketing of fresh fruit. The cooperative consists of 630 farmers – members that currently cultivate approximately 15,000 acres of land in the fertile valley created by the Aliakmonas river. More than 30 million kilos of fresh fruit are produced, preserved and packaged by Neos Aliakmon Agricultural Cooperative every year, with the majority of them being exported to EU countries, as well as the markets of Asia, the Middle East and North and South America. The cooperative supports the local community, securing more than 200 permanent and seasonal jobs. It has modern sorting-packing facilities, cold and storage rooms with state-of-the-art mechanical equipment. Neos Aliakmon Agricultural Cooperative’s main goal at every stage of production is to ensure the quality of the products that will reach the consumer, while respecting the environment and taking actions to support sustainability and reversing the impacts of climate change. ARiSTON extra virgin olive oils have a superior quality, meet stringent requirements, and focus on environmental consciousness. Respecting tradition, our olives are harvested by hand, avoiding any damage to the olives or the twigs. They are produced in the regions of Ermioni and Kranidi in the Peloponnese in over 100 hectares. Most of the estate’s oldest living olive trees are estimated to be more than 900 years old and still produce prized olives. The region has high hills covered with olive groves and small forests. With a south-facing aspect, the olive trees are exposed to direct sunlight and the micro-climate is warm. Almost 80% of the olive trees in our estate and in the region of Ermioni, are the ‘Manaki’ variety. Manaki is the local variety grown in Ermioni for centuries. It is resistant to high altitudes, with dark color, oval shape and a distinctive sweetness. It is considered one of the most recognizable and excellent quality Greek olives. Koroneiki olives are rather new in the region, cultivated during the last five decades. These are resistant to low temperatures and drought, small and green with a vivid flavour. We source our olive oils from these varieties. The olives are cold pressed within five hours after harvest, resulting in low acidity and therefore retaining the best quality olive oil. The Papagianni family cultivates their vineyards and has been producing wine for five generations. Since the beginning of the 20th century, our family, abstracting from the land of Mesogeia only the best quality grapes from the variety of Savatiano, and winemaking in our own facilities, has always managed to produce superior wine quality. In doing so, the winery gained an important position in the field of production and processing. At the same time, in recent years we have been vinifying various varieties of Greek and International vineyards, such as Moschofilero, Malagouzia, Agiorgitiko, Merlot & Cabernet. By doing this, our winery gained an important position in the sector of wine production and processing. The winery was relocated into our current premises in Pallini in 1990. This date is a benchmark for our enterprise as we modernized the company, by purchasing modern machinery and hiring specialized staff. During the same period, we started the wine bottling production. It all started with a wise woman from the mountains of Epirus, our grandmother, making a pie for the grandchildren, and baking it in her childrens' bakery. That pie was made with such love and with the best materials that she could find, that people in the small neighborhood rushed to the small shop to get even just a bite. And so, an idea was born: to produce and sell spinach pies to customers. But not any pies. Pies made with the same love and care as that very first one. We don't have an unlimited product range as we take great pride in perfecting every single product that comes out of our factory.
