O Parque Temático Molinológico de Ul (PTM) foi formalmente inaugurado em 2009, mas é um projeto sonhado desde 2000. A herança cultural, patrimonial e paisagística da região assim o exigiu, dado o elevado número de moinhos de água (cerca de 300) em todo o concelho de Oliveira de Azeméis que, em consequência da industrialização da moagem e do seu consequente abandono, se encontravam num crescente estado de degradação. Graças a uma intervenção do município junto dos proprietários e de estudos arquitetónicos e paisagísticos, foi possível realizar uma intervenção no património edificado, recuperando os engenhos, casas, açudes e levadas o que transformou o PTM uma realidade. A acrescentar a tudo isto, no PTM é feita a confeção das famosas padas e regueifas de Ul, cujos métodos artesanais de panificação lhes conferem um sabor inigualável.
